Technical Facts
The Tree
The tree processed by us grows in Indonesia. After the coconut carries no more nuts, the trunk is struck. The trunk achieves a height of more as 20m and a diameter of more than 30cm
The Wood
The palm belongs not to the woods but to the grasses. For this reason the trunk is differently structured than the wood. No annual rings are to be seen and the hard layer is outside. The core is not to be used and soft. The coconut is almost black with brown drawings. It is mistaken partly with Wenge. It operates moderately, is hard, but can be sharpened well. Its unusual appearance will find its lovers in Europe, since it is suitable for the object and private sector. An oiled or waxed surface is recommended.
